| Staff Goes for Teambuild |
|
|
Recently the Thandanani staff left the office and the usual community work to embark themselves on a staff team build day which was hosted by Highover Wildlife Sanctuary in a beautiful valley of Hella Hella next to Richmond. Leaving families behind and spending a cold night by the UMkhomazi River, around the bon fire and sleeping in bunk houses enhanced the true spirit of togetherness amongst the staff. Activities addressed different aspects of team, from dealing with personal fears, thinking about ones contribution to the organisation and what the organisation could contribute in order to support and complement the work done in the communities. Everybody had an opportunity to a solo time to do introspection and to intentionally think about ways of complementing each others contribution to the organisation. ”Willingness is just as important as competence if not more when looking for a team player” this became a common understanding amongst the staff. |
