Once again, East Coast Radio and it partners had a successful winter warmth campaign 2009. With their immeasurable generosity they donated over 2700 blankets through Rotary Club (Pietermaritzburg) and Starfish Foundation. Our staff and volunteers worked long hours ensuring that each and every child in our database receives a blanket.

This proved to be a challenging exercise for all of us, but with a will and extra effort we distributed to all our households. With the remaining blankets, we distributed some to our volunteers since some of them come difficult background just like our beneficiaries. A stock of left-overs has been stored in each volunteer's house for emergency cases such as natural disasters and identification of new households where warm blankets might be needed.

Thandanani has a strict donation delivery policy which makes sure that each and every donation delivered to the beneficiary is signed for by the receiver no matter what size it is. All signatures are retained as proof of delivery.
