Harvest Time in Silwanetshe E-mail

In many cases when one has to introduce an agricultural project in an area, that initiative is likely to be characterized with lack of ownership and employment mentality.

Willowfontein is no different to all other areas, but with the effort put into it and perseverance, Silwanetshe communal garden has managed to get through those challenges until several harvest has been achieved. Although this is the first of its kind in this year, but from now on it will manage to make few harvest up to the end of the year. This is because of a collective effort and dedication of homecare and food garden volunteers in the area.

Winter Warmth 2009 E-mail

Once again, East Coast Radio and it partners had a successful winter warmth campaign 2009. With their immeasurable generosity they donated over 2700 blankets through Rotary Club (Pietermaritzburg) and Starfish Foundation. Our staff and volunteers worked long hours ensuring that each and every child in our database receives a blanket.
